The data collected and managed by our General Insurance research team is used by some of the largest names in the industry to provide instant and unbiased market and competitor intelligence for product providers, product ratings for them to use in their marketing messages, and product feature data for comparison websites.
We’re currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic motor insurance specialist (with good knowledge of add-ons), to join this team of Researchers.
The role primarily involves
- Researching information about motor insurance products in the marketplace – using the Internet, industry press, and documentation from insurance companies and underwriters;
- Updating the Defaqto database with any new information;
- Building effective relationships with insurance companies and underwriters to facilitate the acquisition of accurate and up-to-date information.
Ideally, we’re looking for someone with at least 3 years of previous experience within financial services and a detailed knowledge of general insurance products, including in-depth knowledge of motor insurance.
To be successful in the role, you’ll need to combine strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to interpret information and to think analytically. You’ll also need to be a proactive team player with an inquisitive, methodical approach to your work. A keen eye for detail and accurate data entry skills are both critical.
This role could be performed full time, but we're also happy to talk flexible working. We ideally want someone to work five days per week, but could accommodate reduced hours on those days (between 5 and 7.5 hours per day). We've also always supported people to work from home for part of their week if they want to - not just during a lockdown!
In return, we can offer a unique and interesting role within the insurance industry. The salary for this role is £22-26k, dependent upon the skills, knowledge and experience you can bring to the role. You’ll also benefit from all the great things about working for Defaqto.
